Our Physicians

Dr. Anthony Sparano

Dr. Anthony Sparano received his medical degree from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He received three memorial scholarships and graduated in the top 3 of his class with Summa Cum Laude and Alpha Omega Alpha Honors.

Dr. Sparano completed his internship and residency training at the University of Pennsylvania. While at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Sparano received 10 awards for his academic research efforts. Dr. Sparano then completed additional fellowship training accredited by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. While at the University of Michigan, Dr. Sparano became specialized in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as in skull base surgery.

Dr. Sparano has made extensive contributions to the medical literature, with 28 published, peer-reviewed journal articles and 7 book chapters. He has also taught numerous courses as instructor, and has presented over 40 research projects at regional and national meetings.

Dr. Sparano is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the North American Skull Base Society.

Dr. Sparano is trained in all areas of general adult and pediatric Otolaryngology. His specialized clinical interests include: facial plastic surgery, rhinoplasty, Mohs reconstructive surgery, skin rejuvenation, endoscopic sinus surgery, and open and endoscopic skull base surgery.

Dr. Sparano is a Director of the Sinus and Skull Base Institute at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center and the K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital. Dr. Sparano’s advanced endoscopic training and skull base training allow for minimally invasive approaches to sinus disease and tumors of the sinonasal cavity and skull base.
